DEMOGRAPHICS:
Gender

Of those surveyed, 70.76% were male and 29.24% were female.

Age

Over 27% of those surveyed were 25-34; 24.02% were 18-24 and 24.85% were 35-44.  Thus, three-fourths of the fans surveyed were between the ages of 18 and 44. Roughly 15.5 % fall within the 45-54 age bracket and around 6% are above 55. This is consistent with last year.  However, results on this question can easily be skewed: older adults may not walk the concourse as much, may not be as open to taking a survey.  Those with families and children may not want to stop to take a survey.

Income

Over 34% of fans surveyed have a household income of $50,000-$99,999 and 26% have an income of $25,000-$49,999.  Thus, roughly 59% of those surveyed have an income of $25,000-$99,999.

Ethnicity

Of those surveyed, almost 93% were White/Caucasian, 3.58% were African American and 2.61% were Hispanic. The rest were Asian American, Middle Eastern, or Native American. This is fairly consistent with last year. However, this year we had African American and Hispanic marketing initiatives and the numbers rose slightly for those two ethnic groups.

Hispanics: 2004: 2.47% vs. 2005: 2.61%

African Americans: 2004: 1.76% vs. 2005: 3.58%

Children Under 18

Almost 60% of fans surveyed had no children under the age of 18 living in their home 18% had 1, 16% had two and and 6% had more than 3. This is consistent with last year. Again, families with children may not be prone to stopping to take a survey.
